We’re not hearts and candy kind of gals. Yeah, we love getting flowers from time to time, but in spite of what those Valentine’s day ads may have told you, diamonds are not these girls’ best friend. What touches our hearts are those small gifts that say, “I appreciate what you do. Keep doing it.” And that’s why we’re asking you for a love letter to On Pasture.
It may sound a little sappy, but it’s not. We already know you love us, because you keep showing up every week. So this letter isn’t really for us. It’s for the potential sponsors we’re approaching. They love you, and they want to know that when they support On Pasture, they’re doing something that’s good for you. Your love letter to On Pasture will tell them that.
If you work for an agency that supports On Pasture readers, your love letter will tell the folks with the ability to give money to On Pasture that this is a useful tool and you’d like to see it continue. If you’re a farmer or rancher your love letter will tell agencies and companies what you like about On Pasture, what it has added to your ability to do the work you do, and that you get something from On Pasture that you don’t get anywhere else. If you belong to a grazing or livestock organization, you letter will let them know that On Pasture provides support to its members.
Your letter doesn’t have to be long. Just a few sentences is all we’re asking. You don’t have to pull out your thesaurus to write it. Just imagine yourself in the room with someone who has the ability to help us keep On Pasture going, and then write from the heart.
And…if you’ll add your address, we’ll send you an “Everything’s Better On Pasture” bumper sticker.
Not the sappy sort, but you’d still like to support the effort?
Thanks for reading. We love you too!
Kathy and Rachel
