‘Tis the Season to Be Jolly”…but sometimes when you’re trying to figure out just the right gift to give someone, jolly can be hard to come by. And then there’s the Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday flood of ads and all the traffic and the search for parking spots, and figuring out how to fold wrapping paper so your gift doesn’t look like a wadded up mess. It all makes you want to curl up with a good book in front of the fire, right?

santa-readingMaybe that’s the answer: A good book! To help you out, we put together the On Pasture Bookstore. It’s got books from On Pasture authors, resources that Rachel and Kathy use, and suggestions for books that we really enjoyed reading. They’re the kind of gift that keeps on giving too, with suggestions that will help the farmer or rancher in your life be more successful, or just enjoy life a little more.

When you buy books at the On Pasture bookstore, you get all the benefits and pricing of Amazon, and a portion of the proceeds support On Pasture. You can get kindle books, and have Amazon send a gift note on your behalf, or they’ll wrap it and mail it for you, so you don’t have to figure out that whole folding the paper thing.

Fa la la la la la la la la!

Enjoy!

Kathy worked with the Bureau of Land Management for 12 years before founding Livestock for Landscapes in 2004. Her twelve years at the agency allowed her to pursue her goal of helping communities find ways to live profitably AND sustainably in their environment. She has been researching and working with livestock as a land management tool for over a decade. When she's not helping farmers, ranchers and land managers on-site, she writes articles, and books, and edits videos to help others turn their livestock into landscape managers.
