On Pasture is 4 today! The very first issue of On Pasture went out on March 21, 2013. On Pasture has been there for you every week since.

And look how On Pasture has grown! There are now 1,428 articles in the archives, and you are part of a group that is 90,000 strong – that’s how many readers stop by to visit every month.

There have been hitches along the way, the biggest one being how to fund an online publication that anyone can read for free. Fortunately, with the help of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, On Pasture is going to be alive and well for some time. They saw how much you like On Pasture, and that you can get great information here, and so they awarded On Pasture a Conservation Innovation Grant.

BUT…

The funding only comes as long as you show that On Pasture is valuable to you. So the grant requires a match every year of a minimum of $15,000. That means that twice a year, there is a fund drive, where you’re asked to show your support by sending in a little money.

We’ll show On Pasture’s appreciation for your support with gifts in return. Everybody who sends in support will get an On Pasture bumper sticker. If you send support of $50 or more, you’ll receive a copy of the latest version of Shannon Hayes’ book, “The Grassfed Gourmet.”

So, if On Pasture is important to you, and you want to keep on reading for years to come, please send in your support today. If everyone gives a little, everyone will get a lot!

Thanks for reading,

Kathy and Rachel
