As we head into fall, we’re also headed into conference season, the time when you can go out and learn new things to help you make your operation better. Want to learn more about stockdogs and how you can work with yours? There’s a workshop for that.  Want to meet up with Greg Judy and learn about soil building? Here you go. Wondering if there’s something out there that can help you make your operation more profitable? Maybe one of the Ranching For Profit Schools in December and January are for you. You can meet up with Kathy and Rachel who will be speaking at the Quivira Coalition’s annual conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And if you’re in Kentucky, Kathy will be speaking on using livestock to manage weeds in Lexington and Hopkinsville.

This is just a short list of the workshops and conferences we know are out there. So help us make our list better. If you’ve got something coming up, add it to the calendar. It’s FREE and we’ll do our part to get the word out by including a link in our weekly, New-Article-Tuesday email so the 100,000 On Pasture readers can head to the calendar and take a look. (And if you’re not getting the New-Article-Tuesday email, you can sign up for it here.)

Want to Have a Say In the Kinds of Workshops Coming Your Way?

On Pasture’s authors have great information to offer, so we’re looking to coordinate with them on two-day workshops that cover a topic AND help you adapt practices and plan for how you’ll implement them, so that when you get home you’re ready to go. Use the comments below to let us know if you’re interested in that kind of workshop, what topics you’d be most interested in, and what workshop locations work best for you.

As always, thanks for reading. We’re tickled to have all 100,000 of you stopping by each month!

About the author

editor and contributor

Kathy worked with the Bureau of Land Management for 12 years before founding Livestock for Landscapes in 2004. Her twelve years at the agency allowed her to pursue her goal of helping communities find ways to live profitably AND sustainably in their environment. She has been researching and working with livestock as a land management tool for over a decade. When she's not helping farmers, ranchers and land managers on-site, she writes articles, and books, and edits videos to help others turn their livestock into landscape managers.
