No One Said Farming or Ranching Was Easy. Can We Help?

This week we share stories from two farmers as examples of how to become a farmer, and how these particular folks climbed over their hurdles. Jay Lavery started as a flight attendant and doing standup. As he turned 50, he turned to farming, and then – SURPRISE! – he went viral as the farmer famous for dancing in his barn. Jenn Colby has been getting her farming feet under her for two decades, and is now settling into the new farm she and her husband call home. Their paths, and the obstacles they faced are so different; your path and obstacles likely are too.

We want to know what obstacles you face on your farm, or in getting your farm going, so we can help you find ways to overcome them. We’re in the last week of a quick survey, that will help us help you better. Please take two minutes to let us know what you’re doing and what you need, so we can put our best efforts toward helping you overcome obstacles. Plus, if you leave us your address at the end, we’ll send over a free bumper sticker!

If you’ve already filled out the survey, but you’re still thinking about what On Pasture can do to help, please drop us an email with your suggestions. We’ll do our best to get the info you need.

Thanks for reading!
