Every organization and company has a vision and mission statement. Here’s On Pasture’s:
For the past seven years we’ve been covering the whole cow from rump to nose, all to support you with the ideas and information you need to be a sustainable and profitable grazier. But we think we can do more for you. So, we want to focus on that shoulder section, where the chuck roasts come from – the Community section of the On Pasture cow.
Members of Grazing Groups are Smarter and More Successful
We know that when it comes to trying new things, being part of a thoughtful, supportive community can make it easier and help you be more successful. And we’re all about your success. That’s why we’re encouraging you to become a part of your local grazing group.
Whether it’s a state Grazing Lands Coalition or Forage and Grassland Council, or a farmers network or association, they have the same things in common. These producer-organized groups are excellent places to find out what works and what doesn’t work in your area and to get the support you need to take the next step. They offer training, pasture walks, webinars, events and mentoring all for a nominal membership fee. We believe that the discussions you’ll have with your fellow graziers will make a difference not only to you, but also to everyone counting on you for healthy soil, clean water, wildlife habitat and good food.
To thank the folks who organize these grazing groups and to encourage you to join, we’re offering a 25% discount on subscriptions for members of grazing groups. If you don’t know where to find your local group, we’ve put together a list of all of them we’re aware of. (We know there are more, so if your group isn’t on this list, let me know and I’ll add it.)
If you’re heading up one of these organizations send us an email so we can send you a discount code that you can share with your members.
We hope this is adds to your success and sense of community. As always, if you have suggestions for things On Pasture can provide, or things that I can do better, do let me know!
