On Pasture is all about making your life easier. One way we’re doing that is by collecting articles into ebooks so you can read everything on a topic in one simple download. The Bonus Content is free to all paying subscribers as a thank you for your support. All you have to do is visit the Bonus Content page, choose what you’d like, and head to the download page.

This week we have a new ebook for you:

Folks often write to ask, “How much should I charge/pay for a pasture lease?” Although there’s no simple, one-size-fits-all answer, I can give you a framework for figuring out what works for you including:

• The going rate in your area,
• Pasture conditions that affect price, and
• Common techniques for valuing pasture
.

Check out the Bonus Content collection here. We’ll be adding an ebook on “Fly Management” in the near future. Plus, a “Grazing 101” ebook, sponsored by the National Grazing Lands Coalition, is in the works too.

If you have an idea for an ebook that would help you, let me know! We have plenty of material and lots of experts to draw on.

Thanks for reading!

Kathy worked with the Bureau of Land Management for 12 years before founding Livestock for Landscapes in 2004. Her twelve years at the agency allowed her to pursue her goal of helping communities find ways to live profitably AND sustainably in their environment. She has been researching and working with livestock as a land management tool for over a decade. When she's not helping farmers, ranchers and land managers on-site, she writes articles, and books, and edits videos to help others turn their livestock into landscape managers.
