Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Regional Dairy Specialists are presenting a six-webinar series covering the ins and outs of grazing. You’ll get  tips for improving the health and productivity of your herd and pastures along with tools to evaluate the efficiency and profitability of your grazing program. It’s great for all graziers, and especially helpful to dairy graziers.

Pasture Prep: Virtual Ruminations for your 2021 Grazing Program” will cover:

• Considerations for spring green up,
• Dairy nutrition and grazing through the season,
• Incorporating annual forages into the grazing season,
• Managing lameness in your grazing herd, and
• Getting the most out of your pasture investment.

This Zoom-based learning opportunity will be offered every Tuesday beginning at noon (ET) for five consecutive weeks, March 2 – 30, 2021. Each week will include an hour long presentation or discussion and time for questions. The sixth final session, will be a panel discussion April 6 at 7pm.

You’ll hear from Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Regional Dairy Specialists Alycia Drwencke and Betsy Hicks and Farm and Business Management Specialist, Mary-Kate Wheeler. Industry presenters will include On Pasture’s own Troy Bishop (the Grass Whisperer), Sam Corcoran with UMass Extension, Jeff Wheeler and Dr. George Dawson with Diamond V, and Don Burkhard with Cows Come First.
