Let’s kick off 2023 with some good news!

We’ve all seen that graph that shows the ups and downs of carbon in the atmosphere and then the sudden rise to levels never seen before. You know, this one:

And more and more we hear the stories of the horrible things that are happening on the planet as a result. It’s depressing – mostly because it seems like such a big problem we can’t do anything about it. It feels better to believe that it’s not happening, or that it’s not our fault.Well, this week, let’s feel better about it. Let’s pull our heads out of the sand and see that yes, something might be happening, but we can change it. We’ve done it before, and we can do it again.

This week’s article is a great, easy-to-understand, scientific explanation from a rancher about what’s happening with carbon in the atmosphere and the soil, how we got to where we are today, and how we can make a difference, while at the same time growing and eating great food!

I’ve got a lot of information to share with you along these lines, and I’ll be adding to it in coming issues. It’s some of the most important work I’ve ever done, and I hope you’ll join me in learning and doing something that will make a difference to us and future generations.
