Lately I’ve been seeing questions from folks about portable electric fence reels – which ones to use and how to use them. The next question is “Now, how do I use these to set up my fence?” Here are the answers in two great videos from Greg Judy. In this 6:06 video Greg covers what makes a good reel, things he’s learned along the way and how to take care of them. He even covers how to fix something that happens to everyone: the polybraid jumps the reel and tangles around the handle. ARRGH!
In this second 11:07 video, Greg shows his 4-wheeler set up and how he and his staff use it to quickly and easily set up new paddocks. He covers everything from how to tie fence posts to the back to the measurements for the reel holder and the special guard that lets him drive over high tensile, electrified fence without getting off. You’ll also appreciate the demonstration of how to use the reel to create a hot fence. Enjoy!
