Free, On Pasture-Hosted Course on Increasing Your Farm/Ranch Profit

You hear all the time and read it in the news that local farm fresh food is trendy and all the rage.

Your gut tells you you’re doing the right thing by providing farm fresh food for your community, healing your family and protecting the land in the process. Yet, we see farm owners selling their land and going bankrupt.

Clearly there’s a disconnect between what you’re reading in food trends and what’s happening on your small farm. It doesn’t make sense and I’m sure you’re frustrated trying to figure out how you’re going to make money too.

And Charlotte and I are determined to help you solve this problem. That’s why I’ve asked her to offer a free Masterclass webinar to help On Pasture readers. (Register here!)

It’s this Friday, June 1 at 10 am PDT – 1 pm EDT.

Meet Charlotte Smith

Charlotte is a dairy farmer and an expert in farm marketing.

After Charlotte’s father’s farm went bankrupt when she was a teen, she vowed to never own or work on a farm again. But, after her children were diagnosed with severe eczema she discovered the benefits of raw milk and everything changed. She started her farm, shared her story with local moms and had to buy more cows almost immediately to keep up with demand.

Ever since then, she has been a profitable farm, and now she teaches meat, dairy, flower and vegetable CSA farmers how to market their products in a way that feels natural and rewarding.

I met Charlotte in St. Louis at a conference. We hit it off, and she shared some great ideas for how to make On Pasture sustainable for the long-term. She also had some great options for farmers and ranchers. We introduced her in two articles this month. If you missed them, here they are:

“Greg Judy Says, “This is the best marketing advice I’ve ever heard.” – Part 1

Great Marketing Advice Part 2: Three Steps That Will Get New Customers to Your Farm

You Don’t Have to Become A Salesperson

If you’re tired of trying to convince people to come to your farm, discounting your eggs, meat and produce to “stay competitive” and are ready to finally turn a profit, this webinar is for you.

You don’t have to be a rockstar at selling to make a profit, either. Actually, most of the Charlotte’s farmers feel introverted and hate the idea of “selling.”

What Does the Masterclass Cover?

Charlotte will be presenting the same information Greg Judy heard that resulted in his great recommendation. You’ll learn:

• The #1 reason you’re losing customers (and how to change this immediately)

• The most effective marketing strategy that will have customers lined up & ready to buy

• Why Facebook + Instagram are NOT the place to sell your products (learn how they are essential, however)

• How to keep customers coming back week-after-week to your farm store

• How to build long-lasting relationships with dream customers

You can register here: Click!

Already busy that day? Register anyway!

The webinar will be recorded and if you’ve registered you’ll get a link to the recording so you can listen later.

We’re also working with Charlotte to open her course, “Farm Marketing From the Heart” for the On Pasture community ONLY. So make sure you stay until the end of the masterclass on Friday. Charlotte will talk about how you can work with her LIVE over the next 5 weeks. I’ll be taking this course and I’m looking forward to learning and growing with the On Pasture community.

And here’s the registration link one more time.
(Can you tell I’m excited about this?!)

One last thing – When you click, you’ll be registered for the webinar, and Webninja, the hosting platform, will help you make sure your computer is set up and ready to go on Friday. As with all technology, there are minor glitches as we all try to communicate through the internets. But, Charlotte, Hayden and I got on line last week to make sure everything works and we can solve issues if they come up on Friday. See you there!

I am the founder, editor and publisher of On Pasture, now retired. My career spanned 40 years of finding creative solutions to problems, and sharing ideas with people that encouraged them to work together and try new things. From figuring out how to teach livestock to eat weeds, to teaching range management to high schoolers, outdoor ed graduation camping trips with fifty 6th graders at a time, building firebreaks with a 130-goat herd, developing the signs and interpretation for the Storm King Fourteen Memorial trail, receiving the Conservation Service Award for my work building the 150-mile mountain bike trail from Grand Junction, Colorado to Moab, Utah...well, the list is long so I'll stop with, I've had a great time and I'm very grateful.
