According to legend, the first Thanksgiving in North America was celebrated when two very different peoples sat down together to eat and give thanks. The folks in this video are following in that tradition, coming to the table with government agencies and others to create solutions good for wildlife and for the people who make a living from the land. This 10 minute video comes to us from Partners for Conservation, a grassroots movement of private landowners working with agencies, non-profit organizations, and policymakers to collaborate on conservation projects for present and future generations. It represents a collective effort to support working landscapes through voluntary, incentive-based public and private programs. The people in the video are those who faced issues, and they describe how communication created opportunities they had never expected. We hope it gives you some inspiration this Thanksgiving week.
